Purdy Literary Festival |

Annual Purdy Country LitFest events will take place at the Celebrate Marmora Festival.
By popular demand there will be ANOTHER DAM POETRY READING on the island in the Marmora Dam. A round robin reading, where everyone in attendance can read their work, will conclude the reading.

Art in the Park/AIM |

Artists In Motion (AIM) is a non-profit organization promoting Arts & Culture including Literature, Music, Theatre and Arts for the greater benefit of Marmora and surrounding communities.
The primary activities of AIM include hosting arts festivals & events, workshops and seminars for all ages.
AIM provides continual exposure to The Arts by operating a Gallery & Gift Shop located at 29 Forsyth Street, Marmora, Ontario.
Have a lovely stroll through our Memorial Park during the festival to see fabulous displays from local area artists and artisans. |

Shakespeare in the Park |

Founded in 1995, The Driftwood Theatre Group is the only touring theatre company in the province producing Shakespeare for an annual season of Outdoor Summer Theatre. Maintaining a philosophy of accessible theatre, Driftwood performs in parks and heritage sites across Ontario where all regular performances are available for a Pay-What-You-Can contribution. Over its fifteen year history, Driftwood has built a reputation for clearly-told, imaginative interpretations of Shakespeare’s plays presented by a company which includes both emerging and established theatre artists.
In 2011, The Driftwood Theatre Group will be performing in Marmora’s Memorial Park for the 6th year.
In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be moved to the Marmora Arena |
